The traditional 5th anniversary gift is Wood. Just like the story about the garden that we planted during our 4th year of marriage, we also have a 100 year old maple tree in our yard that has withstood decades of storms, heat waves and children climbing its branches. Not quite a century old yet, but our relationship at half a decade most certainly had grown strong roots. It is firmly planted in the ground where we have been building our family and life story ever since. And like that 100 year old maple, the story we began writing on our wedding day and on that blank sheet of paper for our 1st anniversary will live on for generations to come through our children and their futures. So celebrate your 5th wedding anniversary with a special gift to commemorate that growth!

Edge Grain Cutting Board
An absolute necessity for any home chef. A maple wood cutting board that is anti-bacterial and super easy to clean will save hours in the kitchen. Find one with a groove around the edge to catch any juices before they spill onto the counter. Pretend you’re the next TV chef and get chopping and dicing on your 5th anniversary!
Get your names carved into these Instagrammable cutting and cheese boards to make your next event even more special. Add in some decorative trays or a lazy susan to really make your house a home with these wood anniversary gifts.
We love our Solo Stove, but needed a way to bring the warmth to our deck on those chilly nights. And we found that a patio heater with real wood pellets is the best way to go! Using pellets instead of gas brings that smokeless aroma of a fire pit to any small outdoor space.
Game night just got a major upgrade. Toss the old cardboard and paper set that has seen better days and go for this beautifully crafted wood game set that looks like it should be featured on every home decor magazine cover. Options for Clue and Scrabble are also available for the perfect 5th anniversary gift!
We are officially “that age” when you start to get excited about coasters. These beautiful coasters can be personalized with a variety of shapes and fonts to make them a one-of-a-kind anniversary gift.
Featured in the WSJ, these awesome coasters are made from aged Kentucky barrels. They are sure to bring a certain flair and sophistication to your next bourbon night or anniversary dinner.
Ok, so technically fairway woods haven’t been made of wood since like the 1980’s. But they’re still called “woods” so it counts!! Also, this is the second time Jay has mentioned a golf club. Maybe he’s trying to give Annie a subtle hint? Annie here: too bad our 6th anniversary was years ago!
These are 100% not made from wood but are 100% awesome. The “wood-grain” design adds to the sleek and modern look of these sunglasses that are polarized and come in a variety of lens colors. Outfit the whole family to look your best on the next vacation!
These handmade custom wood signs are truly incredible. The intricate detail and pop of color will make this an amazing 5th anniversary gift. We’d recommend getting a family name sign with an “established” date using your anniversary or wedding date. It would look beautiful displayed anywhere in your home. Just make sure you order ahead of time. The custom nature and skilled work that goes into each piece can take 10-12+ weeks to complete!
On a trip to the beautiful island of St. John, we took a day trip across the British Virgin Islands and found paradise on Jost Van Dyke. Jay found his home away from home at the world famous Soggy Dollar Bar and spent hours playing the ring game while I relaxed on the beach. I ordered the game from their online store and he spent countless hours outside entertaining friends and family with the game. We recently bought a new one as we left the original at a prior house. Writing about it now, Jay is so excited to install the new game and introduce it to our kids!
Jay to Annie
On our honeymoon in Aruba, our hotel arranged a romantic private candlelit dinner on the beach during one of our last nights on the island. Annie took a beautiful picture of our table with the ocean and sunset in the background and it quickly turned into one of our favorite pictures of the trip. For this anniversary gift, I found Woodsnap, a website that prints photos onto wood panels for a unique way to display our favorite honeymoon picture.
