Traditional Gifts: 11th Anniversary

STEEL

The traditional 11th anniversary gift is Steel. Through the first 10 years together, you’ve built the foundation of your relationship with gifts ranging from flexible and malleable metals to intricate and delicate woven materials. Now entering your second decade as a married couple, perhaps it’s time to move on to the strongest metal on Earth. Steel is used to build massive structures from skyscrapers to bridges and everything in between that require ultimate strength and reliability, all characteristics that would typically define a successful long-term marriage. Onwards and upwards! Enjoy picking out a gift to represent the strength of your relationship this year.

Solo Stove Yukon Fire Pit Bundle

The Solo Stove was one of those early pandemic purchases for us and gave us so many opportunities to hang out with friends and family outside in those days. Still, the Yukon has a constant presence in our backyard as it should for you, too! No question your partner will love this steel anniversary gift.

This stainless steel anniversary gift is a must-have for any house that can’t seem to find enough space to keep everything cold. Ryobi Drill with Batteries and Storage Bag

Jay used to have a 15 year old drill that would die within 20 minutes and take hours to charge. Annie figured it was finally time for an upgrade and how we wish we did it sooner! This Ryobi drill seemingly lasts forever, is quick to charge, and easy to use for all of our home projects.

Our 11th Anniversary Gifts to Each Other

Annie to Jay

Our anniversary is right after Christmas so it’s an exciting time of year for our family. Jay grew up in a house with real trees and a star while my family had artificial trees and an angel on top. When we moved in together, we agreed to go the artificial route with the angel because it was meaningful to me. But I could tell that Jay had been missing his star all these years. Since we agreed on artificial trees together, I decided I would bring back his family star tradition and gift him a stamped steel Christmas star for our tree. He loved it and was so appreciative to bring his family tradition into our home!

Jay to Annie

After weeks of research I was still coming up empty on ideas for a steel gift. Somehow I eventually came across an online store that sold jewelry made out of steel. The perfect combo for this year! I bought her a rose gold steel bracelet that she can wear both casually and with some dressier outfits. And for the record, I did also buy her a separate jewelry gift even though this one fit both categories!
